| Howdah Living Set |
| The roots
for the 'howdah' design come from a
variety of sources throughtout asia,
primarily from India and Thailand. The
term 'howdah' means, quite aptly,
elephant carriage as the design is
derived from the regal seats, which were
harnessed to elephants as rides for the
Rajah and his entourage in ancient India.
This explains the unique leg design of
the howdah pieces. This collection imbues
any living space with an air of mysticism
and exotica, ideal as central
conversational pieces in any abode. Please click
